OpenFlexure is an automated optical microscope designed by the OpenFlexure Project. LabCrafter sells this kit containing all the parts to build the low-cost version of the v7 microscope, excluding the 3D-printed parts. This Assembly Kit is ideal if you're planning on using your own 3D printer to print the parts for an OpenFlexure microscope.
You can upgrade this version of the kit to a high-resolution version at a later stage using our high-resolution upgrade kit.
Kit contents
The kit contains the following hardware for the low-cost version of the microscope:

- 200mm Pi Camera ribbon cable
- 28BYJ-48 stepper motors
- Raspberry Pi Camera Module v2
Illumination kit
- LED board
- diffuser
- board spacer

Mechanical components
- M3 nuts, washers, screws and bolts
- Viton O-rings
Assembly tools and consumables
- 2.5mm ball-end Allen key
- Light oil

In addition to 3D printing your own parts, you'll need a Raspberry Pi, a power supply, and an SD card to get the microscope up and running. These items are sold separately if you don't already own them.
