Mothbox Pro Insect Monitor Kit

Mothbox is an automated insect monitoring system designed by DINALAB, a prototyping studio based in Panama. LabCrafter sells a kit containing all the parts to build the Pro version of the Mothbox.

To use the Mothbox, you'll also need up to three Mothbeam insect attractor lights to attach to it.

Kit contents

The kit contains all the 3D-printed parts you need to build the Pro version, as well as the following hardware:

Electronics

• Mothbox Pro Mainboard PCB
• 10-36V to 12V 5A 60W voltage regulator
• Arducam 64MP Owlsight camera
• Barrel jack sockets and plugs
• Pi 5 RTC battery
  
• 100Wh rechargeable battery (optional, select your preferred option)

Mechanical components

• Front clear acrylic window
• Target arms
• Target with white acrylic felt front (colour of target may vary)
• TPU gaskets (front and back)
• 3D printed TPU ties
• Self-tapping screws (#6 9.5mm)
• Zip ties
• Nuts and bolts to mount target arms
• Nylon strap

20% of profits are donated to the Mothbox project

There's also an option to buy the kit without a battery included. The 100Wh battery comes with its own charger.
